If you want to be more efficient, if you want to be organized, it is a very good idea to visually arrange your thoughts and ideas. This is where mind mapping software comes in – it helps you stay organized and focused by letting you create mind maps. And this is where MindMaple Lite comes in – it provides a free and efficient means of creating mind maps.

MindMaple is available for multiple platforms: Microsoft’s Windows operating system, Apple’s Mac OS X, and Apple’s iOS. There are two MindMaple editions: a free Lite version and a paid Pro version. You can run either versions on a Windows PC that meets the following requirements: Pentium 4 or higher processor, 1GB of RAM memory or more.

MindMaple Lite has a ribbon interface. You will find links to all the features and functions the application has to offer on the ribbon at the top. As expected, the ribbon can be minimized and hidden out of sight. It must be mentioned that you can customize the way the interface looks by selecting a built-in color scheme or by creating a new, custom color scheme.

From a functionality point of view, you can expect to get the following from MindMaple Lite: map themes, map templates, import and export data, share documents with other people, add a variety of elements to a map - icons, pictures, topic, subtopics, hyperlinks, and more.
The free Lite version does not offer as much as the paid Pro version. The following features are only available in the MindMaple Pro version: advanced Office export, password protection, export to PDF, more themes and colors, more backgrounds and clip art.

If you want a free and efficient means of creating mind maps, you’re very well advised to get MindMaple Lite. If you want to get a bit of extra functionality from the mind mapping software, upgrade to the Pro version.
